How do you make people care about the planet?
The problem is that, usually, institution and other NGOs talk about things that are too far away:
The threatening extinction of a monkey species 50 000 km away
or about how the temperature is going to rise to a dangerous level in 50 years.
Don’t get me wrong; these are issues to tackle urgently. But I’m talking about involving the people who are not already eco-conscious.
To them, changing their lifestyle seems either too insignificant or too much effort for the impact involved.
But now, what if this change of lifestyle can be liberating and bring happiness to their everyday life.
See how minimalism with Marie Kando or Tiny Houses has become popular. How growing and making your own food from scratch is now much more than a trend.
Before being sustainable,
these movements bring people joy!
A joy that they’ll want to share with
their friends and family.
Now, you let them know that what they are doing is also good for the environment.
And they will progressively realise that they are doing good things and that it feels right!
And if it is part of their daily life,
then it will part of them.
And from one step to another, you got yourself a new earth lover and militant.
Bring joy into their thoughts
Because their thoughts will become words
Words will become actions
Actions will become habits
Habits will become who they are
